Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a polished Guest Relations Officer to join a luxury private game reserve in the Eastern Cape. You will support daily lodge operations and deliver exceptional service to guests throughout their stay.

Ideal candidates have a Hotel Management qualification, 1–2 years Front of House experience, fluent English, and strong hosting skills. Live-in accommodation is provided. Knowledge of Lightspeed, Sage Evolution or Protel is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hotel Management qualification required.
• 1–2 years' Front of House or luxury lodge experience.
• Excellent spoken English with a professional demeanor.
• Strong guest relations and hosting skills; Butler experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage service, housekeeping and Front Office operations.
• Computer literacy including intermediate Excel.
• Driver's Licence preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lodge or Assistant Manager with the daily operation of the lodge.
• Conduct housekeeping checks according to set standards.
• Assist with restaurant operations before and during meal services.
• Support service staff and ensure service standards are consistently maintained.
• Check meal standards before dishes leave the kitchen.
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs and attend to guest requests throughout their stay.
• Arrange additional services and supplies as requested by guests.
• Communicate operational issues, variances and improvement ideas to senior lodge management.
• Assist with stock counts and weekly and monthly reporting.

Package
