Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Concierge Supervisor to lead its concierge team in Port Elizabeth. You will be the ultimate resource for guests, arranging dining, tours, transportation, and local activities to create memorable experiences.

You will supervise daily operations, train staff, handle guest requests and complaints, and build relationships with local vendors to uphold hotel standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a concierge or guest services role, supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English; Afrikaans is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the concierge desk and ensure prompt guest service.
• Assist guests with reservations, tours, and transportation arrangements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions and services around Port Elizabeth.
• Train and mentor concierge staff to uphold hotel standards.
• Handle guest complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with local vendors, restaurants, and tour operators.
