Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a polished Guest Relations Officer in Gauteng’s vibrant Tembisa area to elevate the guest experience at a premier establishment. You will be the primary contact for guests, handling check-in/out, requests, and issues with diplomacy to ensure a seamless stay.

Collaborating with housekeeping, F&B, and front office, you will use PMS and local knowledge to meet guest needs. A friendly, professional demeanor and strong communication are essential; English plus another local

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer service or guest relations role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using hotel management software (PMS) and standard office applications.
• A friendly, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English and at least one other local language is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, assist with check-in and check-out processes, and ensure all guest information is accurate.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized recommendations for dining, local attractions, and activities in Tembisa.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns via phone, email, or in person.
• Resolve guest complaints effectively, escalating issues to management when necessary, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local area information.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments to fulfill guest requests and special arrangements.
