Job summary

Momentum is recruiting for a Short-Term Insurance Adviser role. You will generate leads, write policies (personal and commercial lines) in line with targets, and maintain compliance with FAIS regulations.

Applicants should have Matric, FAIS credits or qualification, RE5, and 3+ years in short-term insurance sales. A valid driver’s license and own transport are essential assets for field work as part of the Momentum Insure team.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in short term insurance if appointment date before 2010) or full recognised qualification per FSCA list.
• FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5) is required.
• 12 CPD points if one line of business; 18 CPD points if two lines.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in selling short term insurance (broker or tied agent).
• All regulatory exams and accreditation required.
• Computer skills include Calendar management, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word.
• Social media presence and ability to use it for networking.

Responsibilities

• Source sufficient lead generation opportunities to ensure a healthy pipeline.
• Minimum of 8.5 written policies per month.
• Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix weekly.
• Conduct comprehensive needs analyses with prospective clients.
• Perform in line with business KPIs.
• Stay informed on product comparisons with opponents' products.
• Be proficient in Momentum Insure product knowledge and updates.
• Remain compliant with FAIS regulations and ethics.
• Maintain skills and knowledge to provide professional advice.
• Maintain professional dress code and appearance.
• Meet Fit and Proper requirements per FAIS.
