Job summary

Talent Candey in Cape Town is seeking driven Short-Term Insurance Advisers for personal and commercial lines. You will generate your own leads, build a strong sales pipeline and provide professional, advice-led insurance solutions to clients.

The role requires FAIS qualifications, RE5, and a proven track record in selling short-term insurance. You will work independently and as part of a team with a focus on results and customer service.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• 3+ years’ experience selling short-term insurance as broker or tied agent.
• Sales experience in personal and commercial lines.
• FAIS credits: 30 credits (before 2010) or FSCA list qualification (after 2010).
• RE5 exam.
• CPD: 12 points for one line, 18 points for both lines.
• All FAIS regulatory exams and accreditation.
• FAIS fit-and-proper compliance.
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence.
• Excel, PowerPoint and Word literacy.
• Social media presence for networking and lead generation.
• Ability to generate leads and develop new business.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Our Short-Term Insurance client is currently looking for driven and experienced Short-Term Insurance Advisers – Personal and Commercial Lines to join their team based in Cape Town.

The successful candidates will be responsible for generating their own leads, building a strong sales pipeline and providing professional, advice-led insurance solutions to personal and commercial clients.

Salary: Package to be confirmed.

Essential Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum of three years’ experience selling short-term insurance as a broker agent or tied agent.
• Sales experience in both personal and commercial lines.
• FAIS credits: Minimum of 30 credits in short-term insurance if the Date of First Appointment is before 2010; alternatively, a fully recognised qualification on the FSCA qualification list if appointed on or after 1 January 2010.
• FAIS Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5).
• Required CPD points: 12 if registered for one line of business, or 18 if registered for both personal and commercial lines.
• All required regulatory examinations and accreditation.
• Compliance with applicable FAIS fit-and-proper requirements.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
• Computer literacy, including calendar management, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Social media presence and the ability to use social media for networking and lead generation.
• Ability to generate own leads and develop new business.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
