Job summary

Protea Hotels by Marriott® is seeking a Reservations Associate in Cape Town. You will process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail, verify room type availability and rates, and ensure accurate data entry in the reservation system.

You will explain policies, handle special requests, and maintain high levels of guest service. You will collaborate with team members to optimize room blocks and billing, while upholding Marriott standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations.
• Verify availability of room type and rate for reservations.
• Input and access data in the reservation system accurately.
• Explain guarantee and cancellation policies to callers.
• Respond to guest questions about property facilities/services.
