This role targets senior professionals with FMCG experience. You will lead a team, collaborate cross-functionally, and shape the future of key grocery brands in Gauteng.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years in category management, brand management, or retail buying, FMCG focus.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and consumer insights.
• Proficiency in category management software and MS Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales, market share, and profitability.
• Analyze market data, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and category trends.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities for the assigned category.
• Optimize shelf space and in-store execution to maximize product visibility and sales.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring supply chain efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop and execute category plans.
• Monitor category performance against targets, reporting on key metrics and providing actionable recommendations.
• Identify and launch new products and innovations within the category.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; mentor junior team members.
