Placements24 is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer focused on grid infrastructure to join our Pretoria team. You will design, implement, and maintain power distribution and substations, ensuring reliability and safety across critical infrastructure.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years in power systems and familiarity with ETAP/PSS/E. Pr.Eng with ECSA is highly desirable, contributing to a secure and modern energy network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical power systems engineering, grid infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for power distribution, transmission, and substations.
• Conduct load flow analysis, fault calculations, and protection studies for grid infrastructure.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of grid infrastructure to ensure reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and external stakeholders on grid projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with national and international electrical codes and standards.
