Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years in power systems and familiarity with ETAP/PSS/E. Pr.Eng with ECSA is highly desirable, contributing to a secure and modern energy network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) with ECSA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical power systems engineering, grid infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for power distribution, transmission, and substations.
  • Conduct load flow analysis, fault calculations, and protection studies for grid infrastructure.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of grid infrastructure to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and external stakeholders on grid projects.
  • Ensure all designs comply with national and international electrical codes and standards.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in grid infrastructure to join their team in Pretoria. This role is integral to maintaining and upgrading the electrical grid that serves a significant portion of the region. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and maintenance of power distribution systems, substations, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of power systems engineering, a commitment to reliability and safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for power distribution, transmission, and substations.
