Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Graduate Project Coordinator for our construction client in Nelspruit (Mbombela). You will support Project Managers in planning, scheduling, documentation, and stakeholder communication to ensure smooth project execution.

The role offers hands-on experience in construction project management, exposure to budgeting, procurement, and reporting, with potential for hybrid work depending on project needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with project management software (MS Project) is a plus.
• Interest in construction industry and project management principles.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning and scheduling project activities.
• Maintain project documentation including plans and reports.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
• Track project progress and identify delays or issues.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Assist in managing project budgets and tracking expenses.
• Ensure safety regulations and quality standards on site.
• Assist in procurement of materials and equipment as needed.
• Support closeout process for completed projects.
• Learn and apply project management methodologies and best practices.
