Placements24 is seeking motivated Graduate Mining Engineers to join operations in Vereeniging, Gauteng. This role offers exposure to mine planning, operations, and safety, with mentorship from experienced professionals.

You will assist in planning, surveying, data collection, and monitoring of infrastructure while learning Deswik and Surpac. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with mining planning software (Deswik, Surpac) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in challenging underground or surface mining environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mine planning, design, and scheduling activities using specialized mining software.
• Support operational teams in daily mine activities, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Conduct surveys and data collection on mine sites.
• Assist in monitoring and managing mine infrastructure and equipment.
• Participate in safety inspections and contribute to safety protocols.
• Analyze geological and operational data to provide recommendations.
