Placements24 is seeking a motivated Graduate Chemical Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Soweto. This entry-level role offers mentorship, practical exposure to process monitoring and data analysis, and opportunities to contribute to quality control and safety initiatives.

You will work under experienced engineers, learn through hands-on tasks, and develop a solid foundation in chemical engineering within a dynamic production environment in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat/mass transfer.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Eager to learn and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes within specified parameters.
• Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with quality control through routine tests and checks.
• Troubleshoot minor operational disruptions and document resolutions.
• Support implementation of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Assist senior engineers with documentation, reports and project tasks.
