Job summary

Fidelity Services Group is seeking Hotel Security Officers for a prestigious five-star hotel in Cape Town. You will safeguard guests and staff while maintaining a welcoming environment and a neat appearance.

Role requires PSIRA Grade A/B certification, 3–5 years in supervisory or hospitality security, strong English communication, computer literacy and a Matric qualification. Travel to Cape Town/Tokai areas may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role or hospitality security environment.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Neatly groomed appearance and professional presentation.
• Computer literacy demonstrated.
• Matric certificate or equivalent.
• PSIRA Grade A/B certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol hotel premises to prevent intrusions and detect suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, and guest inquiries.
• Ensure security equipment (CCTV, alarms) is operational and report malfunctions.
• Provide excellent guest service while addressing security concerns.
• Collaborate with hotel management to uphold safety protocols and enhance security.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and professional Hotel Security Officers to join our team at a prestigious FIVE-STAR hotel. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to communicate effectively and present a neat appearance will be key to your success in this guest-facing position.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the hotel premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to incidents, including but not limited to security breaches, disturbances, and guest inquiries.
• Ensure that security equipment, such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems, is operational and report any malfunctions to management.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests and addressing their security-related concerns.
• Collaborate with hotel management and staff to uphold safety protocols and enhance security measures.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Conduct regular checks of guest areas, ensuring a secure environment at all times.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance your security skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Valid Grade A/B Psira Certificate
• Atleast 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role or hospitality setting
• Well Spoken in English and can communicate fluently
• Neatly groomed individual
• Computer literate
• Matric

Additional Qualifications

• Should be able to travel to Cape Town, Tokai areas
• First Aid, Fire Fighting, Health and safety certification.
• Additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Familiarity with security technology and systems.
