Job summary

Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking a knowledgeable Corporate Governance Advisor to join its legal and compliance department. The role focuses on upholding high standards of governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct, advising the board and management on best practices, and developing governance policies.

You will oversee compliance frameworks, board meetings, and shareholder communications, and contribute to risk assessments to shape corporate governance across the Mpumalanga

Qualifications

• Must have strong governance and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Ability to advise board and management on governance best practices.
• Experience with corporate law and governance frameworks in SA.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Board of Directors and executive management on governance principles and best practices.
• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate governance policies and charters.
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, King IV Code, and other regulations.
• Oversee board and committee meetings, including minute-taking.
• Manage shareholder relations and timely dissemination of information.
• Conduct governance reviews and risk assessments.
