Job summary

wine.co.za seeks an experienced Export Sales Manager for Franschhoek to lead international sales, develop new markets and manage distributor relationships. The role requires hands-on execution from prospecting to follow-up, with substantial travel to international markets.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in wine export, strong commercial acumen and WSET knowledge, and will base near Franschhoek with regular travel to Franschhoek/Cape Winelands.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in wine export/sales.
• Strong understanding of international wine markets and distribution.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing or Sales.
• WSET or comparable wine knowledge.
• Willingness to travel internationally with valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement international sales strategies and market development plans.
• Identify and approach international importers, distributors and trade customers.
• Build and manage a qualified export sales pipeline and conduct trade tastings.
• Negotiate agreements and convert opportunities into orders; manage accounts and promotions.
• Coordinate with finance/logistics on export docs and credit control; maintain accurate sales records.
