Sakata Seed Southern Africa (PTY) Ltd. invites applications for an Import/Export and Procurement Coordinator based in Lanseria, Gauteng.

You will join the Shipping and Procurement Department handling importing and exporting seed, and procurement of raw materials, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and ISO standards. The ideal candidate holds a degree in International Trade or Supply Chain Management, with 2–3 years in import/export shipping administration in Africa, plus a

Qualifications

Degree in International Trade or Supply Chain Management is required.
2–3 years’ experience in import/export shipping administration, especially within African countries and procurement.
Certificate in Import/Export Management with knowledge of Incoterms, customs and VAT legislation.

Responsibilities

Process shipping documents to import and export non-commercial products between Southern Africa, other regions and worldwide.
Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents and customers on shipping requirements.
Coordinate with Dept of Agriculture to obtain phytosanitary permits and trade documents.
Ensure shipping release documents are delivered to customers on time.
Monitor and track shipments, update schedules and communicate with stakeholders.
Liaise with suppliers and place orders to procure local product and packaging per specifications.
