Placements24 is seeking a remote Programme Development Manager for a forward-thinking international charity focused on sustainable development. You will lead program design, grant writing, and project management across global initiatives, with a focus on underserved regions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program development, management, and fundraising within an international NGO or charity.
• Demonstrated success in writing winning grant proposals for major institutional donors (e.g., USAID, EU, UN agencies).
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to develop innovative program solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration and reporting.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience working with diverse teams across different time zones in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with M&E principles and software.
• High level of self-discipline, motivation, and ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new program strategies and proposals, ensuring alignment with our client's mission and donor requirements.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments and feasibility studies for potential new programs in various geographical areas.
• Manage the full grant lifecycle, from identification and research to proposal writing, submission, and post-award reporting.
• Develop robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program progress and impact.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with international donors, partners, and stakeholders through virtual channels.
• Oversee the implementation of pilot projects and scale successful initiatives across different regions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field teams and implementing partners remotely.
• Prepare high-quality reports for the board, donors, and other stakeholders, highlighting program achievements and challenges.
• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in international development and non-profit management.
• Ensure compliance with all donor regulations and organizational policies.
