EY is seeking an Assistant Manager in Payroll Operate based in Johannesburg to supervise the design, implementation and operation of global multi-country payroll for our clients. You will ensure compliance, accuracy and timely delivery across regions, while working with EY teams to drive service improvements.

You will lead payroll projects, coach team members, and stay up to date with evolving payroll regulations in Africa.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or business (preferred).
• 7+ years of payroll/tax experience or equivalent.
• Strong numerical skills and proficiency with Excel/Office tools.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with proactive problem solving.

Mansioni

• Provide timely payroll support and governance services to clients.
• Respond to payroll queries from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with offshore/Africa teams to deliver payrolls.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery for clients.
• Develop client payroll calendars and collect data for setup.
• Manage payroll process documentation and annual audits.
