Job summary

Paymentology in South Africa is seeking an Implementations Project Manager to lead client projects from onboarding to go-live. You’ll coordinate with clients, internal teams, vendors, and card schemes to define scope, timelines and milestones.

You will drive planning, stakeholder management and cross‑functional workstreams, ensuring risks are visible and resolved. The role offers hands‑on delivery in a fast-paced payments environment with opportunities to grow expertise in card issuing.

Qualifications

• A strong track record managing projects, ideally in card payments.
• Experience working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Asana.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from internal handover through client onboarding and go-live.
• Coordinate a portfolio of new client implementations and changes for existing clients.
• Manage day-to-day communication between clients, internal teams, vendors, and card schemes.
• Identify and track project risks, issues, actions, and dependencies using a RAID log.
• Provide clear updates on progress, risks, and decisions to clients and internal stakeholders.
