Job summary

Atlas Copco Group seeks a Field Service Engineer in South Africa to deliver on-site service, repair, maintenance and support for customer equipment.

You will travel within your area, conduct inspections, calibrations, and document activities while ensuring safety and ISO procedures. You will join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager to help maximize uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Educational qualifications required: Engineering Diploma or Degree.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Motivated, self-starter, and organized.
• Strong customer service skills.
• High degree of reliability and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
• Provide technical service and support to customers, including repairs and tool calibrations.
• Continuously improve customer satisfaction.
• Carry out calibrations and preventative maintenance tasks according to procedures.
• Plan, manage and install equipment at customer premises.
• Provide written reports on repairs and incidents as requested by management or the customer.
• Work with Sales representatives and customers to address support and technical issues.
