Job summary

Rory Mackie & Associates in Cape Town seeks a Client Operations professional to service a designated set of clients across SA and international desks. You will liaise with clients, manage queries, and maintain CRM records.

You will collaborate with Investment Operations, Portfolio Managers and Finance to ensure accurate processing and proactive service. Use your 3–5 years of investment management experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Power BI/SQL to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• B Comm / B Bus Sci or other similar degree.
• 3–5 years investment management industry experience, preferably in asset management and institutional client operations.
• Client relationship management experience in the investment management industry.
• Financial market knowledge and financial accounting experience.
• Proficiency in advanced MS Excel; familiarity with Power Automate, Power BI, SQL or similar is advantageous.
• Experience leveraging AI platforms (e.g. Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Liaise professionally with clients (new clients, restructures, performance, queries).
• Be effective at query management and resolution.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Investment Operations, Client Directors, Portfolio Managers, and Finance.
• Perform ongoing KYC of clients.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records.
• Identify inefficiencies in processes and contribute to ad hoc projects.
