Placements24 is seeking an experienced Site Engineer with geotechnical specialization for a major infrastructure project in Rustenburg, North West. The role requires overseeing geotechnical aspects of foundations, earthworks, and ground-related structures to ensure safety and project success.

The candidate will work closely with site managers and construction crews, supervise geotechnical works, interpret soil data, and maintain records and reports to support ongoing construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialization.
• Minimum 5 years of site engineering experience focusing on geotechnical aspects.
• Experience managing foundations, earthworks and slope stability.
• Ability to interpret soil investigations and geological data.
• Strong leadership and communication with diverse teams.

Responsabilités

• Supervise on-site geotechnical works including excavations and foundations.
• Conduct site investigations and interpret geotechnical data.
• Monitor ground conditions and ensure design compliance.
• Enforce health and safety protocols on geotechnical operations.
• Coordinate with design engineers to resolve technical issues and provide feedback.
• Manage QA/QC of earthworks and foundation materials.
• Direct site teams and subcontractors on geotechnical activities.
• Prepare progress and geotechnical performance reports.
