Placements24 is recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer for a leading geotechnical firm in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role involves hands-on site presence and work on earthworks, deep foundations, slope stability, and projects across mining, infrastructure and commercial development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant geotechnical experience.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in site-intensive environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute detailed site investigations including drilling, soil sampling, and in-situ testing.
• Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures.
• Develop geotechnical design reports with recommendations for foundations, ground improvement, and slope stability.
• Utilize PLAXIS, GeoStudio or similar software for modeling and analysis.
• Provide technical support during construction, overseeing earthworks and foundation installation.
