Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng. is preferred.
• Solid understanding of soil and rock mechanics and foundation engineering.
• Proficiency in geotechnical design and analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage geotechnical site investigations including drilling, in-situ testing and geophysical surveys.
• Interpret geotechnical data to assess soil/rock properties and design foundations and earthworks.
• Perform stability analyses for slopes, excavations and tailings dams using appropriate software.
• Conduct numerical modeling with PLAXIS, FLAC or similar.
• Prepare investigation and design reports and provide technical support on site.
