Placements24 in Sandton seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to infrastructure projects across Gauteng and beyond. You will manage geotechnical investigations, analyze site conditions, and provide design recommendations for foundations, slopes, and earthworks.

The ideal candidate has a BEng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical), Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer with at least 6 years of experience, and proficiency in GeoStudio or Plaxis.

Qualifications

• ECSA registration as Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer.

This role involves managing geotechnical investigations, analyzing site conditions, and providing critical design recommendations for foundations, slopes, and earthworks. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage geotechnical site investigations.

• Perform stability analyses for slopes and excavations.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and present findings to clients and project teams.
• Oversee construction quality control for earthworks and foundation elements.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Candidate Engineer.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, Plaxis) is essential.
