Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with Geotechnics.
• Minimum 6 years of geotechnical investigation and design.
• Proficiency in Plaxis, GeoStudio or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics and engineering geology.
• Experience with geophysical surveys is a plus.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, drilling, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil and rock samples to determine engineering properties.
• Perform foundation design calculations for shallow and deep foundations (piles/rafts).

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Geotechnical Civil Engineer to contribute to their projects in Centurion . This role focuses on the analysis and design of foundations, earthworks, and slope stability for a variety of infrastructure and building developments. You will conduct site investigations, interpret soil and rock mechanics data, and provide expert recommendations to ensure the structural integrity and safety of construction projects. This is a challenging position for an engineer passionate about soil mechanics and foundation design, working within a leading consultancy firm committed to excellence and sustainable development practices in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities
