Placements24 seeks a skilled Geologist to lead resource estimation efforts in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will build robust 3D geological models from drill data, apply geostatistical techniques, and produce compliant resource reports for decision making.

The role requires a master’s level of geology, 5+ years in modelling, and proficiency with Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, and Datamine. A hybrid work arrangement may be considered to balance fieldwork and office analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Geology or Economic Geology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in geological modelling and resource estimation within mining.
• Strong understanding of geostatistical methods and resource estimation techniques.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain 3D geological models from drill data and mappings.
• Perform geostatistical analysis to estimate mineral resources using standard software.
• Prepare resource reports compliant with JORC/NI 43-101.
• Collaborate with exploration, mine planning and operations to reflect subsurface realities.
• Conduct QA/QC on exploration data and validate datasets.
• Assist in planning exploration drilling for improved data for estimation.
• Present resource estimates to management and stakeholders.
• Contribute to feasibility studies requiring resource assessment.
• Ensure geological work adheres to company policies and industry standards.
