About the Role

Our client, a significant entity in the mining exploration and development sector, is seeking a skilled and analytical Geologist to focus on Resource Estimation . This role is situated in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA . The successful candidate will be responsible for generating robust geological models and resource estimates, which are fundamental to the economic viability and strategic planning of mining projects. This position demands a strong understanding of geological principles, geostatistics, and proficiency in modern resource modelling software. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D geological models based on drill hole data, geological mapping, and other relevant information.
• Perform geostatistical analysis to estimate mineral resources using industry-standard software.
• Prepare detailed resource reports compliant with international reporting codes (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
• Collaborate closely with exploration, mine planning, and operations teams to ensure geological models accurately reflect the subsurface.
• Conduct geological data validation and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) on exploration data.
• Assist in the planning of exploration drilling programs to optimize data acquisition for resource estimation.
• Stay current with advancements in geological modelling techniques and software.
• Present resource estimates and geological interpretations to management and stakeholders.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and other technical evaluations requiring resource assessment.
• Ensure all geological work adheres to company policies and relevant industry standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology or Economic Geology.

• Demonstrated expertise in geostatistical methods and resource estimation techniques.
• Proficiency with geological modelling software (e.g., Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, Datamine).
• Strong understanding of different deposit types and their geological characteristics.
