Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Geologist for a hybrid role in Randburg to lead seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and basin modeling in support of oil and gas exploration. You will collaborate with subsurface teams to build geological models and evaluate prospects.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Geology/Geophysics with 5+ years in exploration geology, excels in seismic tools (Petrel, Kingdom Suite), and communicates findings for drilling campaigns and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related earth science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in exploration geology within Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong skills in well log analysis and correlation.
• Experience with basin modeling and play fairway analysis is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
