Placements24 is seeking a skilled Subsurface Geologist focused on Petroleum to join their Randburg exploration team. The role involves detailed subsurface interpretation to identify hydrocarbon-bearing structures and to contribute to prospect generation and development planning.

You will work with geophysicists and engineers, using Petrel or Kingdom for seismic interpretation, reservoir characterization, and uncertainty analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Petroleum Geology, or a related geoscience field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in petroleum exploration or development geology.
• Proficiency in seismic interpretation software (Petrel, Kingdom) and well data management systems.
• Strong understanding of structural geology, sedimentology, and sequence stratigraphy.
• Experience with reservoir characterization techniques and uncertainty assessment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
