Our client in Paarl, Western Cape, SA, seeks a skilled Geological Modeller to develop, validate and maintain 3D models for resource estimation and mine planning. You will integrate drillhole data, geological maps, geophysics, and structures to support robust resource classification and planning.

You will collaborate with geologists, estimators and mine engineers, contributing to data integrity, model quality, and advanced visualization for reporting and decision-making.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or related field with a focus on modeling.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Geological Modeller, preferably within mining or exploration.
• Proficiency in modeling software such as Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, ioGAS, Micromine.
• Strong understanding of geological principles, structural geology, and mineral deposit types.
• Experience with data management and geological databases.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a team.

About the Role

Our client, a leading mining entity with extensive operations, is seeking a skilled Geological Modeller to join their technical team based in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA. This is an on-site position where you will be instrumental in developing, validating, and maintaining detailed 3D geological models for resource estimation and mine planning purposes. The role requires a sophisticated understanding of geological data integration, structural interpretation, and the application of advanced modeling software. You will work closely with geologists, resource estimators, and mine engineers to ensure accurate and reliable representation of subsurface geology, which is critical for informed decision-making in exploration and mine development.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and a passion for visualizing and interpreting complex geological datasets. Your expertise will directly contribute to the economic viability and efficient extraction of mineral resources.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
