Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping and data collection in exploration areas.
• Develop and maintain 3D geological models and resource estimates using industry-standard software.
• Interpret geophysical and geochemical data to identify potential mineral deposits.
• Plan and oversee drilling programs, including core logging and sampling.
• Collaborate with mine planning engineers to integrate geological models into mine designs.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and geological summaries for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Mentor junior geologists and provide technical guidance.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological techniques and technologies.
• Contribute to geological risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• BSc Honours or MSc in Geology or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration and resource estimation.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Micromine).
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and geostatistics.
• Experience with various deposit types relevant to the South African context.
• Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with JORC or NI 43-101 reporting standards is advantageous.
