Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Geohydrologist for our client, a leading environmental and water consulting firm, to join the Mahikeng office in North West, South Africa. You will conduct groundwater investigations, modeling, and monitoring network design to support water security for communities and industry.

You will collaborate with engineers and scientists on multidisciplinary projects, apply MODFLOW/FEFLOW/RT3D, and contribute to groundwater protection, remediation, and sustainable

Competenze

• Master's degree or PhD in Hydrogeology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in applied hydrogeology and groundwater management.
• Proven experience with groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW, RT3D).
• Strong understanding of hydrogeological principles, groundwater-surface water interaction, and geochemistry.
• Experience with geophysical logging and borehole geophysics is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with South African groundwater legislation and policies.
