Job summary

Kabstrading Co in South Africa is seeking an experienced fabricator to manufacture and fabricate gates and related steel structures. You will work from measurements, sketches and job cards to produce precise components for varied fencing projects.

The role requires skilled MIG welding, accurate marking and cutting, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards in a busy fabrication shop. You will maintain equipment and assist with other steel-work as needed to support production goals.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate gates to approved dimensions, specifications and job requirements.
• Fabricate fencing components, brackets, supports and related steelwork.
• Manufacture razor wire brackets and associated security-fencing components.
• Perform general MIG welding and steel fabrication.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit and assemble steel accurately.
• Read and work from measurements, sketches, job cards and production instructions.
• Check finished work for alignment, weld quality, dimensions and overall workmanship.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools and a safe, orderly fabrication work area.
• Assist with other steel-work manufacturing requirements as operationally required.
