Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Fundraising Specialist in Cape Town to drive donor acquisition, stewardship, and campaign success. You will develop strategies, manage events, and prepare compelling proposals to support a charitable organization serving the Western Cape community.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in fundraising, strong storytelling, and CRM experience to build and nurture relationships with individual and corporate donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in fundraising, development or similar non-profit role.
• Proven success in donor acquisition and portfolio management.
• Experience with major gifts, grants, events and online giving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; persuasive storytelling.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse donor segments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies and campaigns to meet revenue targets.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donor relationships.
• Plan and manage fundraising events from conception to execution.
• Prepare grant proposals, funding requests and donor reports.
• Maintain donor records in the CRM database accurately.
• Collaborate with communications to create donor appeals and materials.
• Research funding opportunities and trends in philanthropy.
• Analyze data to identify trends and measure performance.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethics.
