Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Risk Manager for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, build risk frameworks, and ensure regulatory compliance across the banking & finance sector.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Mathematics)
• Minimum 6 years in financial risk management within banking & finance
• Strong knowledge of market, credit, operational, and liquidity risk
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL; familiarity with risk management software
• FRM or PRM certifications are advantageous

• Develop, implement, and maintain financial risk management policies and procedures
• Assess market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks across units
• Design stress testing and scenario analysis to test resilience
• Monitor KRIs and develop early warning systems
• Ensure compliance with Basel Accords and local regulations
• Prepare risk reports for senior management and regulators
• Collaborate with business lines to embed risk practices
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices
• Provide guidance to junior risk staff
• Oversee counterparty credit risk management
