Job summary

Dis-Chem Village Mall, Kathu is seeking a Frontshop Assistant to uphold merchandising standards while supporting customer service at the point of sale in line with Dis-Chem policies.

Essential: Grade 12 or Matric; 0–6 months retail experience. Advantageous: 1 year retail experience and certification in Retail Business Management. You will ensure products are well stocked, correctly priced and that customers receive friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Matric; 0–6 months retail experience preferred.
• Customer service focus with ability to handle enquiries and assist customers.
• Basic arithmetic and cash handling knowledge.
• Ability to maintain merchandising standards and price accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Keep shelves stocked and neatly presented at all times.
• Ensure stock is rotated and not past sell-by date.
• Handle cash, vouchers and payments accurately at checkout.
• Assist customers with product information and queries.
• Maintain store cleanliness and accurate price labeling.
• Report stock discrepancies and price changes to management.
• Support with back stock and stock counts as needed.
