Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is hiring a Frontshop Assistant at the Voortrekker Street Pharmacy to ensure merchandising standards, restock products, and assist customers with friendly service. You will maintain shelf Presentation, check prices, and support stock control procedures in line with TLC policies.

Essential: Grade 12 / Matric and 0–6 months retail experience. Advantageous: 1 year in retail. SA citizen or valid work permit, reliable transport preferred. Market-related salary offered.

Qualifications

• 0 – 6 months retail work experience
• Must be able to restock merchandise and maintain shelf presentation
• Knowledge of FIFO and stock rotation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise to keep shelves stocked for peak sales
• Ensure delivered stock is stored correctly and labeled
• Maintain stock on shelves and check sell-by dates
• Rotate stock using FIFO and keep stock in the correct spaces
• Keep storeroom organized and report low or damaged stock
• Assist with cycle counts and stocktaking
• Ensure price labels are correct and report discrepancies
• Provide friendly customer service and answer queries promptly
• Keep uniform and name badge visible at all times
• Assist with back shopping and loading/unloading stock
