Job summary

Protea Hotels by Marriott in Durban is seeking a dedicated Front Office Manager to oversee front office functions and supervise the guest services team. You will coordinate Bell/Door, Switchboard and Front Desk operations to ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs and maximize guest satisfaction.

Leading by example, you will maintain high service standards, manage staff performance, and collaborate with management to meet financial and operational goals in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of guest services/front desk experience, or a 2-year Hospitality/Business degree with no work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Front Office operations to meet service standards.
• Lead and supervise Bell/Door, Switchboard and Front Desk teams.
• Ensure effective guest check-in/check-out processes and satisfaction.
• Communicate company goals and performance expectations to staff.
• Handle guest issues, complaints, and escalations professionally.
