The President Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, seeks a hands-on Front Office Manager to lead our Front Office operation and inspire the team. Reporting to the Director of Rooms, you will maintain service standards, drive revenue, and manage costs while delivering a seamless guest experience.

You will be visible in the lobby, build meaningful guest connections and coordinate with other departments to ensure a superior stay for our 349-room hotel.

Qualifications

• Must have proven Front Office leadership experience in 4- or 5-star hotels.
• Strong guest relations, complaint handling and service recovery skills.
• Sound understanding of Front Office financial controls, billing, banking and account reconciliation.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily Front Office operations with swift, professional check-ins/outs.
• Greet guests in the lobby, build relationships and anticipate needs.
• Support the Guest Experience Manager to improve the overall guest experience.
• Review procedures to improve productivity within approved budgets.
• Ensure OPERA PMS and interfaces are accurate and effective.
• Drive loyalty standards, benefits, and enrolment performance.
• Oversee cash handling, direct-billing docs, and daily banking.
• Lead daily training and coaching, maintain training records.
• Develop future leaders and conduct return-to-work interviews.
• Maintain Front Office logs, shift reports, and clear group/guest communications.
