Job summary

SURGO is seeking a Front-End Supervisor to lead and develop the store's front-end team in a dynamic FMCG environment. You will drive excellent customer service, supervise cashiers and till packers, and ensure smooth daily operations including staffing, training, and compliance with store policies.

You will oversee scheduling, attendance, and disciplinary actions while partnering with management to meet performance targets and maintain orderly, secure store operations.

Qualifications

• Grade 12; approx. 5 years supervisory experience.
• Experience in managing front-end staff, cashiers, till packers.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a fully functioning front end staff and promote excellent customer service and communication.
• Full management of the front end, including cashiers and till packers.
• Assist in the hiring process of Front-End staff.
• Ensure the Front End is suitably staffed at all times.
• Induction and training of new staff members.
• Schedule staff and manage attendance and discipline.
• Ensure End of Day reports are completed and cash handling procedures followed.
• Communicate productivity, staffing or training issues to HR or Senior Management.
