Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Freight Broker to connect shippers with carriers and oversee the full brokering process from start to finish. The role emphasizes building carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely, cost-effective freight movement.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in freight brokerage, a strong grasp of market dynamics, and proficiency with TMS software. This on-site position offers a base salary plus commission in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualificações

• 2+ years experience as Freight Broker or in a related role.
• Strong understanding of the freight market, including carrier networks and shipping regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, sales, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and related software.
• Ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload in a non-remote setting.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and solicit new business from shippers requiring freight transportation services.
• Source and vet reliable carriers to match shipper requirements for load types and routes.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with both shippers and carriers to ensure profitable and efficient transactions.
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery, proactively addressing any potential delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, communications, and documentation.
