Job summary

City Logistics in Gauteng is seeking a Franchise Operations & Compliance Officer to support franchisers, ensure compliance, and drive service excellence across regions.

The role requires a Grade 12 plus a tertiary qualification in logistics or related field, 3–5 years in operations, and willingness to travel nationally. This is a permanent position within a growing logistics network.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric (Essential).
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Related field (Advantageous).
• Experience in logistics or courier industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for franchise owners.
• Provide ongoing operational guidance and business support to franchisees.
• Assist with onboarding, system implementation, and training of new franchisees.
• Support franchisees with operational software, barcode scanning systems, and customer service processes.
• Coordinate communication between management and the franchise network.
• Conduct regular depot and field audits to ensure compliance with operating standards.
• Monitor safety, vehicle presentation, territory compliance, and business performance.
• Identify non-compliance and implement corrective action plans.
• Guide franchisees through remediation and ongoing compliance improvements.
• Scan compliance; collection and pickup volumes; service performance trends; investigate service failures and escalations; identify root causes and corrective measures.
• Support linehaul, depot sorting, and last-mile delivery optimisation.
• Ensure service levels and KPIs are achieved.
• Facilitate training on operational systems and promote best practices across franchises.

Introduction

An exciting opportunity exists for a National Franchise Support & Compliance Officer to join a leading courier and logistics operation. This role is responsible for supporting franchise owners, ensuring operational compliance, driving service excellence, and assisting franchisees in achieving optimal business performance and profitability.The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between the business and its franchise network, providing operational guidance, compliance monitoring, training, and support across multiple regions.

• Guide franchisees through remediation processes and ongoing compliance improvements.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric (Essential).
• Tertiary qualification in:

Experience

• 3–5 years' experience in one or more of the following:
• Operations Coordination
• Compliance Monitoring
• Logistics Supervision
• Previous experience within the courier, freight, transport, logistics, or express parcel industry will be highly advantageous.

Licensing

• Valid South African Code B/EB Driver's Licence.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Technical Skills

• Ability to learn and work with operational software systems.
• Experience using logistics, transport, or courier management systems will be advantageous.
