Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-duty commercial trucks and vans for freight transportation.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes within the Cape Town metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
• Load, secure, and unload various types of cargo, ensuring its integrity and condition.
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles, including checking fluids, tires, and braking systems, and report any defects.
• Maintain accurate logs of all deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
• Utilize onboard technology, such as GPS and electronic logging devices, effectively.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the delivery process.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Code 14 driver's license with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
