Job summary

City Logistics in Gauteng is seeking a Franchise Operations & Compliance Officer to support franchisers, ensure compliance, and drive service excellence across regions.

The role requires a Grade 12 plus a tertiary qualification in logistics or related field, 3–5 years in operations, and willingness to travel nationally. This is a permanent position within a growing logistics network.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric (Essential).
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Related field (Advantageous).
• Experience in logistics or courier industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for franchise owners.
• Provide ongoing operational guidance and business support to franchisees.
• Assist with onboarding, system implementation, and training of new franchisees.
• Support franchisees with operational software, barcode scanning systems, and customer service processes.
• Coordinate communication between management and the franchise network.
• Conduct regular depot and field audits to ensure compliance with operating standards.
• Monitor safety, vehicle presentation, territory compliance, and business performance.
• Identify non-compliance and implement corrective action plans.
• Guide franchisees through remediation and ongoing compliance improvements.
• Scan compliance; collection and pickup volumes; service performance trends; investigate service failures and escalations; identify root causes and corrective measures.
• Support linehaul, depot sorting, and last-mile delivery optimisation.
• Ensure service levels and KPIs are achieved.
• Facilitate training on operational systems and promote best practices across franchises.
