Job summary

Jobs 4 All in Cape Town is seeking a driven Forklift Sales Representative to grow the forklift and materials handling equipment portfolio. You will develop new business, manage existing customers, and drive sales of new and used forklifts, attachments and related services.

The ideal candidate will have proven forklift or capital equipment sales experience, an existing client base, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and a willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Proven experience in forklift or materials handling equipment sales.
• Existing customer base within relevant industries is advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within materials handling, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, construction and industrial sectors.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while expanding the client portfolio.
• Promote and sell new and used forklifts, attachments and related equipment.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable equipment solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer visits and provide after-sales service.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate sales records and CRM updates.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Represent the company at meetings, exhibitions and industry events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and driving sales of new and used forklifts, as well as related products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the forklift and materials handling industry, an existing client base, and a passion for achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Proven experience in forklift, materials handling equipment, or capital equipment sales.
• Strong knowledge of forklifts and the materials handling industry.
• Existing customer base within relevant industries will be highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong sales drive and customer-focused approach.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.
