Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to optimize warehousing, inventory, transportation, and distribution networks. You will lead a skilled team, implement lean practices, and leverage advanced planning systems to forecast demand and improve service levels.

The role requires 8+ years in supply chain management within FMCG, strong leadership, and proficiency with SAP/ERP. A Masters is a plus; relocation to Centurion is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and warehousing/inventory controls.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage end-to-end supply chain strategies.
• Oversee warehousing, inventory, and stock control to optimize availability and costs.
• Manage transportation and distribution networks, route optimization and freight costs.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to track performance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, sales and customer service.
• Lead and mentor the supply chain team for continuous improvement.
• Utilise planning systems and data analytics to forecast demand and manage inventory.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards and environmental policies.
