Placements24 is seeking a diligent Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the Vereeniging, Gauteng plant. You will manage production line staff, ensure targets and quality standards are met, and drive continuous improvements on the shop floor.

The role requires 3–5 years in a supervisory capacity within manufacturing/FMCG, with strong leadership, communication, and safety focus. Local shifts and hands-on supervision are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Matriculation certificate or equivalent; a relevant diploma or technical qualification is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or team lead experience in manufacturing/FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a production team.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts on the shop floor in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production line staff.
• Ensure production targets are met efficiently and in accordance with quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and identify potential issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Train and mentor new production team members.
• Maintain production records and report on output, efficiency, and deviations.
• Oversee the correct usage and maintenance of production equipment.
• Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to ensure product integrity and equipment uptime.
• Implement and promote best practices in workplace safety and housekeeping.
• Manage daily activities at the Vereeniging, Gauteng plant.
