Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Production Supervisor for a leading FMCG manufacturer in the Tembisa area. The role involves directing daily production operations, managing staff, and ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to high quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong people management skills, a solid understanding of lean manufacturing, health and safety regulations, and a track record of achieving production targets in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a supervisory role within FMCG/manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control systems, and health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the activities of production line staff, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes, identify and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards on the production floor.
• Manage staff performance, provide training, and foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure efficient utilization of resources, including materials and machinery.
• Track production output and KPIs, reporting on variances.
• Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and planning departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and relevant industry regulations.
