Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Logistics Coordinator to join our client’s operations team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You'll coordinate transportation, manage shipments, liaise with carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective solutions within the FMCG supply chain.

This hands-on role requires strong organization, familiarity with shipping documentation, and the ability to resolve delays quickly.

Qualifications

• Mandatory high school diploma; logistics qualification is a plus.
• 2-4 years' experience in logistics coordination, FMCG preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transport docs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations including shipment scheduling.
• Liaise with transport providers, suppliers and customers for cost-effective movement.
• Prepare shipping docs: bills of lading, customs declarations.
• Track shipments and address delays or issues proactively.
• Maintain records of logistics activities, inventory and costs.
• Suggest route optimizations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
